The need can be classified into two types:

i. primary need

The primary need is the things that are necessary for the survival of the human being is a primary need. It includes the air, water, health, shelter, food, clothes, and so on.

ii. secondary need

The secondary need is the things that are not so important for the survival of human life is called secondary need. It is linked with the satisfaction and desire of the human being. Secondary need includes luxury car, Furniture, phones, Jewelry, and so on.

2. Concept of Wants

The strong desire to fulfill a need is called want. In another way, The process of satisfying need is want.

Similarly, The want may be different according to the person, time, family, as well as society based on their social, economic, and cultural status.

3. Concept of Drive

The state of anxiety and tension raised in the mind of the customer or users due to not fulfilling the needs is drive.

Similarly, Drive force, motivates customers or users to take action to fulfill as well as satisfy their needs.

4. Concept of Demand

In the same way, Demand is the need that is to be fulfilled and the readiness to fulfill the needs. Similarly, Drive always leads to demand.

Demand includes the willingness of the product, and readiness to pay a certain price for a certain product or service.

Demand can be classified into the following two types

i. Primary demand

The total aggregate demand for certain goods and services is called primary demand. For example, The total demand for shoes in the market is the primary demand. Similarly, The business should analyze the primary demand of the market before starting production.

ii. Secondary demand

The demand for the particular and specific goods and services of a specific brand is called secondary demand. For example, the demand for Addidas shoes in the shoe market is called secondary demand. Similarly, The business should collect information about the secondary demand for making a marketing strategy or plan.
